Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HRESs) have proven to be viable solutions for rural electrification. They not only electrify locations but also provide environmentally sustainable, secure, and affordable energy if optimized. These systems can best described as generators of electricity from multiple sources that complement each other. Optimized HRESs often generate by minimizing the levelized cost (LCOE) carbon emissions. The investigation social benefit factors within poverty is a relatively new discussion in study modeling off-grid systems. In this perspective article, we examine importance computational tools transition remote communities. We show classical heuristic models possess capability optimizing hybrid renewable considering parameters including health, education, income.
